It is also very important to hold study classes and go deep in the teachings. A great harm is done by starting to teach without being firmly grounded in the literature. “Little knowledge is dangerous” fully applies to the teaching work. The friends should read the Writings to be able to quote from the Tablets when discussing subjects pertaining to the Faith.

Mac Ocean.app version now available

Ocean.app version for easy use on the Mac

I don't much like Windows emulation. It's just too heavy and inconvenient. I've used Ocean for years on Ubuntu using the excellent emulator "Wine".

However, just before heading out for a two-month European winter-school trip, I purchased a new Macbook Air. What a wonderful piece of hardware! Also, Apple has finally gotten rid of some of the more annoying problems with OSX (such as not being able to resize windows from all edges).

Anyway, I needed a better Mac solution to run Ocean and, thanks to a tool called "WineWrapper", was able to create a ocean.app version which simply drops into the Mac applications folder. It's pretty big since it includes the whole Wine library, but it works! I was able to carry the Mac version on a thumb drive all over Europe as a gift to those I met.

Upon arriving home, I figured out how to create one of these slick Mac "DMG" files in order to make it an easy download.

You can download the Mac DMG install file from the Ocean page:
